Hui Min Liu was born in Taichung, Taiwan, where she would eventually receive her Bachelor of Landscape Architecture at Tunghai University. She later obtained her Master of Arts from Savannah College of Art and Design in Georgia, USA. In most of her works, she combines materials such as claybord, aluminum panel, and canvas with acrylic paints to create diverse textures and atmospheres reflecting different themes of art. Her artistic style is a mixture of fantasy narratives, retro-futuristic elements, and mechanical fairytales. Plants, animals, gears, mechanical life forms, and star-map-like light structures depicted in her works construct a world with soft and delicate colors that exists among dreams, science fiction, and fables. Hui Min’s paintings have been exhibited internationally in the United States, Italy, and Taiwan. She is currently living and working in Taipei as an artist and a part-time university lecturer
